Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed a week of celebrating books! We love to read and we made sure that there were lots of opportunities to read our favourite books and discover some new ones too.
One World Book Day, the children dressed up as their favourite characters or ready for a bedtime story in pyjamas. We wrote about our favourite stories and some children visited the reading care with their adults.
The children waited patiently for a mystery reader to visit us with a special story. On Friday Mrs Bathgate read Room on the Broom to us. She choose this story because Year 1 have been taking part in yoga sessions linked to this book.
