Here at BRW, we are delighted that 2025 has been designated as a Jubilee Year by Pope Francis. We are all invited to enter into a special year of forgiveness and reconciliation, strengthening our relationship with God, with one another, and with all of creation. The BRW community has a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our Catholic faith during Jubilee 2025 – and we will be doing this in a wide variety of ways!

We have already enjoyed a launch day on which we pledged to be Pilgrims of Hope because the theme for the Jubilee year is Pilgrims of Hope – and we are those pilgrims!
Pope Francis has invited Catholics to renew their hope and discover a vision that can “restore access to the fruits of the earth to everyone”. We are urged to turn our thoughts to the needs of others across the world (The Common Good, Preferential Option for the Poor) and ensure that we observe and preserve human dignity for all.

In addition, we are encouraged by Pope Francis, ‘to contemplate the beauty of creation and care for our common home’. In other words, be ‘Stewards of the Earth’ and ‘Guardians of god’s Gifts’!
