This week the children have been learning about squirrels. Did you know:
- Squirrels use their noses to smell the acorns hidden underground.
- Their front teeth never stop growing.
- They use their claws to climb up trees.
- They use their bushy tails to balance.
- Their babies are called kittens.
- Their nest is called a drey.
Next time you visit a park or woodland, look out for these fascinating grey animals.
