STEM Ambassador Visit

We had a STEM Ambassador (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) in Year 3 this week. Richard Butler is a geologist who’s interest in rocks and fossils really inspired our children. First, they listened to a presentation about what geologists do and their importance in our everyday lives. Then they had the opportunity to be hands on with lots of different rocks and fossils from his personal collection. They were SO excited and were able to group the rocks into the main three groups as they’d remembered their learning from previous sessions. The class had so many questions that we ran over our time. We are ‘Staying Curious’ in Y3!
