Year Two had a wonderful visit to Nottingham Castle this term.
This visit was particularly relevant to our topic because it allowed the children to build their knowledge of ‘colour’ in a real-life exhibition.
The Kaleidoscopic Exhibition provided the opportunity for Year Two to marvel at, and be inspired by, the vibrant artwork in the gallery.
We also had the chance to explore the castle further. We enjoyed learning more about our local hero: Robin Hood. We also took the time to consider Nottingham’s human and physical features, by taking in views from across the city.
Our Year Two pupils were enthusiastic and eager to learn throughout the visit and they asked the gallery staff lots of questions.
We even had a few children fall asleep on the coach home. What an exciting day!
