The children gathered quietly for our Ash Wednesday Liturgy. They sang ‘Jesus Loves Me, this I know’, listened to scripture from The Gospel of Matthew – ‘When you pray, talk to God in your heart. He listens to you’. They received ashes on their heads to remind them to love God and others and to remember to say sorry when we make mistakes. Their mission, linking with our Jubilee Year promise was to help, care and share with others.
